About

Blog it Yourself brings you personal stories from people across the spectrum of DIY culture.  The do-it-yourself spirit can be found everywhere, from all walks of life, and here you’ll find intimate blogs, podcasts and photography.

Blog it Yourself is based in the Pacific Northwest.

DIY is an ethic or approach to life where one engages in activity without the help of “professionals” or the need to ask permission from “authority.”  Read more on wikipedia.

The DIY spirit is often associated with crafts, inventions, and other skills in making or repairing things.  However, in this blog DIY is revealed to be much more – an idea that can be applied to any aspect of one’s life.

There are some DIY topics you won’t find here, mostly because the internet is already saturated with them:

  • iPhone apps that program your Arduino to transform legos into LED voltron, etc.
  • home improvement

Questions and comments can be sent to info{at}blogityourself{doot}org. Guest writers are welcome to pitch stories and if you’ve got a new zine or independently-made work of art, feel free to pass it our way.
